PUG DAY Saturday, August 21, 2010 2pm - 5pm
The Story behind Pug Day
Chris and Amanda’s dream was to open a small family run winery near where they grew up. After 5 years of hard work and determination the winery opened in August of 2004. In August of 2005, hours before the winery’s very first anniversary celebration, Amanda’s first Pug, Mynde, passed away suddenly from a stroke. Every year after that, on the winery’s anniversary, we host Pug Day at the winery in memory of our lost pet (although all dogs are welcome). A large portion of the proceeds from this event goes to Ohio Pug Rescue. We miss our pug but are grateful she gave us this wonderful event.

Mynde
Bring your favorite and friendly dog to Candlelight Winery for our annual Pug Day celebration. All dogs are welcome at this event which benefits Ohio Pug Rescue. Enjoy live music on the lawn, a selection of vendors, food specials and cornhole tournaments. The first 25 people with dogs to arrive receive a doggie bag for their canine friend. (Limit one per family) Bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy the afternoon with your friends.
